Khalid Brown, PsyD
I was born and raised in the Northeast of the United States—first in Philadelphia then in New York. From these two places, my passion to help others grew. It started with me receiving special education services while in school. This allowed me to have a perspective of someone who needed counseling and supports through school and using that knowledge and training to help other families.
I received my training and doctorate from St. John’s University in the area of School Psychology, and through this I was able to work a 20 year career where I have been able to help families with many different backgrounds and needs. Throughout my career I have worked with and learned from great practitioners who have helped me shape how I work with individuals of varying needs. I have provided psychological assessments and counseling supports in areas of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, mood disorders and health impairments, to name a few. I have had training in methodologies centered around behavior therapies to help people reach their desired goals. I use my knowledge, training, and faith to support individuals and families as they go through life. I have a desire to help those who are in need through counseling services and assessments to help people make the best decisions in their lives and the lives of their children.
I am new to the Triangle area and am loving the laid back lifestyle and friendly atmosphere of being in the south. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you as you go through life.
