Bailey Toma Onuoha, LMFTA
and ADHD Coach
Life can be confusing, hard, and painful at times. Unexpected situations can leave us questioning how to move forward. Without the right help, we are left barely managing instead of thriving. In my own experience, seeking therapy can bring insight and healing for all different people and situations. I would love to hear your story and work with you on a journey to thriving.
I am a qualified Family and Marriage Therapist Associate in the state of North Carolina. I received my Master's in Individual, Family, and Marriage Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. My therapeutic experiences, along with my time working as a high school student advisor has developed in me a deep passion for working with adolescents. I love their unique personalities and the special circumstances they face during a time of life that works to shape them into all they were designed to be. Moreover, I enjoy working with couples in hopes of allowing them space and freedom to open up and work through hard issues that can alter the course of their marriage. Overall, I seek to help couples, families, and individuals with struggles related to relational conflict, cross-cultural marriage hardships, racial identity concerns, family transitions, spirituality, stress management, ADHD, and more. I am certified in the Prepare-Enrich Assessment tool and have helped lead different support groups such as those focused on marital growth and conflict.
I utilize a variety of different therapeutic approaches in my practice including Intergenerational Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I am happy to integrate faith into your counseling sessions upon request. I believe growth happens in a collaborative relationship between the client and the therapist. I hope to instill this sense of mutuality in our sessions so that you are empowered in your counseling journey.
Please feel free to reach out to me to start counseling. I am eager to hear from you and together we can find out if my approach is most beneficial for you!
