Laura Day, LMFTA

Hello! My name is Laura Day, and I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist associate here at Raleigh Psychology. I view therapy as a tool that provides intentional time and space to work through whatever issues may be occurring. Having the objective perspective of the therapist and the focused environment of the sessions can often result in more productive conversations than if you were trying to figure it out on your own. I strongly believe each client is a unique individual, worthy of care and attention that suits your individual and/or relationship needs. I want to take the time needed to get to know you, so that our time together can be specifically tailored to whatever may be weighing on your mind, rather than approaching our sessions with a formula or mold and hoping you fit into it. This is your time, and I want to make sure it’s as beneficial as possible.

I enjoy working with couples, families, teenagers and individual adults.

My hope and goal for you throughout our time meeting is that you would feel heard and understood and that you would feel equipped with tools and strategies to help you in your daily life. I see it as a privilege to work alongside you as your therapist.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist associate in the state of North Carolina. I graduated in 2021 with my masters degree in Marriage, Family, and Individual Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. I have helped clients work through issues such as conflict resolution, family dynamics, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, self-image,and grief. I also have the theological training to incorporate faith into the counseling sessions if that would be of interest.

I hope we can connect soon!
