Jenya Andrews, PsyD

To me, therapy is the art of being a sojourner with my clients in their most challenging periods of life. Life is hard and we all need help to deal with hardships and suffering. Therapy can provide a safe space for you to be honest and vulnerable, to take steps towards change, and to slowly recover and heal from your past or current suffering. We are fortunate when we have people in our lives that can be with us in our pain. We don’t need to do it alone. As a therapist I see myself as a sojourner in your journey through the life difficulties and adversities. I am with you to support you and help you in this journey of healing.

I specialize in psychotherapy with experience and interest in depression, anxiety, identity formation, adjustment, spirituality and existential questions of life, grief/loss, acculturation, and relational concerns. My clients and people who know me describe me as a warm, empathetic, relational, and present person. I am not afraid to work with painful emotions and take you to the depth of your soul to discover and process your pain and hurt, so that you could have a more joyful future. Additionally to therapy, I enjoy the psychological evaluation/assessment work.

When people come to me with a referral question, I see myself as a detective who puts different pieces of your story together to figure out what is really going on with you.

I am originally from Siberia, Russia, and was blessed to experience living in 5 countries (USSR, Russia, Kazakhstan, the UK, and the USA). I received my Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts (B.A. and M.A.) in Linguistics and World Literature from Tomsk State University in Russia. I earned my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and my doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Wheaton College, IL.

Outside of my work, I enjoy traveling, reading, dancing, biking, spending time with my family and friends, and appreciating beauty of this world.
